Silverlight for Windows Mobile

Scott Holden posted a demonstration video of Silverlight for Windows Mobile. Although it’s just a prototype of MLB mobile with video, it is a nice peek at things to come.

Tangerine - A WPF reference application from Infragistics

Infragistics has partnered with Amazon and Microsoft to release a nice reference application for WPF called Tangerineā„¢. The team at Infragistics built the reference application (called an “exemplar”) using NetAdvantage for WPF.

Alexey Gavrilov has put together a great comparison of the rendering speeds of WPF, Flash, DHTML, Silverlight and Flex. He also compares how the different browsers handle rendering. It’s not a large sample set, but the results are still very interesting.

Microsoft buys an island in Second Life - Uses it to host talk on Silverlight

Microsoft bought an island in Second Life, they’ve named it Visual Studio island.

Several Weeks ago Brad Abrams hosted a presentation about Silverlight for MAC from this virtual world. He has since made the Power Point slides and media available for download.
